Unicode/XML Leningrad Codex: Updated text, UXLC 2.2 (Build 27.3, 19 Oct 2024)

Post by cvkimball »

The Unicode/XML Leningrad Codex (UXLC) at <https://tanach.us> has been updated to UXLC 2.2 (Build 27.3) of 19 Oct 2024.

The previous Hebrew text, UXLC 2.1, has been updated with 138 text changes to produce UXLC 2.2. Thanks to the authors of these changes: Ben Denckla and David Reimer.

The majority of the changes are in qere/ketiv and yatir forms and are based on comparison of the LC text with BHL and WLC 4.20 lists. Two transcription notes have been added: 'q' - "UXLC differs from the conventional word for the qere." (35) and 'y' - "Yatir: The preceding Hebrew letter is "superfluous"." (36).

Please feel free to contribute changes to the text. If your change is accepted, your name will appear with the correction in the header of the book of the change. (See b-hebrew/Hebrew Bible: "Motivating text changes" (15 Sep 2024).

It is good to see UXLC continue to evolve! In fact, in recent years, it has been evolving at quite a clip! So many Bible sites seem to stagnate (and even disappear!).
