Unicode/XML Leningrad Codex: Proposed changes for next release

Post by cvkimball »

The current, proposed text changes for UXLC 1.9 scheduled for 7 July 2023 are now up at:

<https://tanach.us/Changes/2023.07.04%20 ... hanges.xml>.

These changes include 133 corrections to Psalms provided by Daniel Holman. Your comments on these changes are solicited.

Of particular interest is how to reliably distinguish a dehi from a tipeha (tarha) accent in the LC itself. The dehi should be prepositive whereas the tarha is dispositive. Many instances of dehi/tipeha considered to be dehis in other texts are not written prepositively. The problem is particularly acute when the dehi/tipeha accent is written below a vav.

Other changes will be gladly considered.
