Readers of this forum may be interested in this long and winding tale of how mistakes in BHS probably made in the 1970s still cast a long shadow on us down to the present day.

Truly a fantastic presentation. The Hebrew Bible on mechon-mamre.org has the revia on that word. I’m fascinated that you state that the Israeli versions of the Tanach have it right—my favorite Bible (Keter Yerushalayim) among them. Thanks for this!
