We read there
NIV: "He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap he seats them with princes, with the princes of his people"
The first thing we notice about נְדִיבִים is that it is spelled always in full with a yod, which explains the absence of a dagesh in the following bet and the reading NeDIYVIYM rather than NeDIYBIYM.
Otherwise, נְדִיבִים is from the root נדב, which is a member of the root family
צב, צףand hence a נָדִיב is a נָצִיב as in 2Sam. 8:6
further related to Gen. 37:7
NIV: "when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright"

Re: נדיבים Ps. 113:7-8
We have already mentioned it before that the roots צב, צף and their kin are often at the basis of full-bodied animals' names, to wit:
Add to it:

The translation of נדיב in the Bible versions rely on the Septuagint that are translated in-error, in Psalm 113:8, they translated נדיבים into the generic word, ἀρχόντων that produces the common readings in Bible versions, like "Princes".
נדיב came from layers of roots, from נדב from הנתן from נתן.
The correct Greek translation of נדיבים is ἐπιδόσεων "free giving, devote oneself, a physician, administer" (ἐπιδίδωμι).

Re: נדיבים Ps. 113:7-8
נציב and נדיב are unrelated, the צ in נציב is a diphthong of "st" and they all translate into various form of ιστημι.
στάσις "anything set upright"
1. standing stone, pillar
2. the place in which one stand, of military formation.
Thus in Genesis 19:26, נציב is a pillar and a garrison in 1 Samuel 13:3.
מנצח "one who stands near, in battle-order, chief, commander" (ἐπιστάτης)
מצב "organized government, guild, of a Jewish community" (σύστημα) (Josephus Against Apion 1.7)
