We add to these roots the Hebrew root כם (the letter כ is but the letter ח turned on its side) of which we have the act כָּמַהּ 'rise, swell', of Ps. 63.2(1), used for a growing קם feeling of longing, yearning, pining, hunger, craving for,
NIV: "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water"
In spoken Hebrew כָּמוּת = כם-הוּא-את is 'quantity'.
