The meaning of the name לוי LEVIY

I suspect that it is possibly a scribal cover-up of לוּי = אל-הוּא-היא LUIY = EL-HU-HIY. Compare אליהוּ = אל-היא-יה-הוּא ELIYAHU = EL-HIY-YA-HU, and דניאל = אדן-היא-אל DANIEL = ADAN-HIY-EL. Think also of יֵהוּא =יה-הוּא YEHU = YA-HU (YA-HIY-HU), and יְהוֹאָשׁ = יה-הוּא-אישׁ YEHOA$ = YA-HU-I$.

Today I have encountered another name with היא-הוּא HIY-HU, אֲבִיהוּא = אב-היא-הוּא of Nu. 3:2. In Nu. 1:11 we encounter אֲבִידָן -אב-היא-אדן. In 1Sam. 8:2 we encounter the names of Samuel's two sons יוֹאֵל -יה-הוּא-אל and his brother אֲבִיָּה = אב-היא-יה. And not to forget the illustrious אֲבִימֶלֶךְ = אֲב-היא-מֶלֶךְ of Gen. 20:2.

I have just encountered a friend of mine, his name is מַלְכִּאֵל = מלך-היא-אל MALKIYEL = MLK-HIY-EL, namely, MLK he is god.

Names with יה YAH and רם RAM, 'high, 'nobel, lofty, exalted':
אברם = אב-רם AB-RAM
אחירם = אח-היא-רם AX-HIY-RAM
יהוֹרם = יה-הוּא-רם YAH-HU-RAM
רמליהוּ = רם-אל-יה-הוּא RAM-EL-YAH-HU
ירמיהוּ = היא-רם-יה-הוּא HIY-RAM-YAH-HU
גדליהוּ = גד-אל-יה-הוּא GAD-EL-YAH-HU
אדוֹנירם = אדוֹן-היא-רם ADON-HIY-RAM
אדוֹניהוּ =אדוֹן-היא-יה-הוּא ADON-HIY-YAH-HU
