גוסס Word or not?
My dictionary says the word גוסס means "dying or moribund." Does it exist?

I meant that I can't find the word anywhere else. Was the word Biblical Hebrew?

Re: גוסס Word or not?
We certainly use it in modern Hebrew. There's a difference between someone who is the stages of dying (גּוֹסֵס) and someone who is already dead (מֵת). It might interest you to know that we also have a couple of euphemistic expressions in modern Hebrew in the same way that you might say something other than "he died" in English. We have נִפְטַר "passed away" and הָלַךְ לְעוֹלָמוֹ "went to his world" (his place in the afterlife).
