Euphrates : פְרָֽת Would either of the following two Root meanings apply to the name of this river? Some have written it is just a name of a river without any known meaning while others say : "To break out, or rush out through breaking" Or "Fruitful, fruit-bearing"
Thank you

The first river with that name was listed in Genesis 2:14. As for its meaning, your guess is as good as mine.Chris Watts wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 8:12 am Euphrates : פְרָֽת Would either of the following two Root meanings apply to the name of this river? The second river with that name just copied the name of a river known by those who got out of the ark. By that time it was probably just a name.
