Sign posts with full name!

Post by Kirk Lowery »

The moderators have decided that the policy of signing full names should be continued on our new forum. We recognize that this is not how many -- if not most -- forums operate. However, we believe that the reasons for this policy still apply: discussions on B-Hebrew tend to be more polite and civil when members sign their names and take responsibility for what they say.

By your name, we mean your "first" name and your "last" or family name. We recommend that you add your name to your "signature" which is automatically added to each posting that you make. To do this, click on the "User Control Panel" at the upper left of the web page. Then click on the "Profile" tab, and you will see "Edit signature" link on the left. Click on that, add your name, and click "Submit". You can also add other information if you wish, such as institutional affiliation, etc. If you are having trouble figuring this out, do not hesitate to contact the moderators. As an example, you can see my signature at the bottom of this post.

This policy has been effective for over a decade. We expect it will continue to promote good discussion in our new forum.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

Kirk, for the moderators
