Introduction

Post by R.J. Furuli »

Dear listmembers,

I have been away from the list for a long time, so I use the opportunity to introduce myself.

I am retired, after having taught Hebrew and other Semitic languages at the University of Oslo. I have a Ph.D based on the study of all the 80,000 verbs in the Tanach, the DSS, the Inscriptions, and Ben Sira. I have written two books on the Assyrian, Babylonian, Egyptian, and Persian chronology compared with the chronology of the Bible, and two books on Bible translation. Since I retired in 2011 I have used much time on research of the Bible and related topics. On the basis of this research I have written the book, "When Was the Book of Daniel Written? A Philological, Linguistic, and Historical Approach." It has recently been published. I have also written another book that will be published in the first part of 2018: "Can We Trust the Bible? With Focus on the Creation Account, The Worldwide Flood, and the Prophecies.

I hope I will have many fine interactions with old and new friends on the list.

Best regards,

Rolf J. Furuli
