Συρία Κοίλη > Σρί ολ > Ισρ ολ > ישר אל

The word as little to do with אל "deity", if this was a personal name meaning "my deity is ... "
then the word would be written שריאל. The poetic word describing the name in Genesis 32:28
is the word שרית (δειράς).

A prototype form of the Esau and Jacob story can be found in the Epic of Gilgamesh.

Epic of Gilgamesh - Tablet V
The ground split open with the heels of their feet, as they whirled around in circles Mt. Hermon and Lebanon split.

-The story buts emphases on legs-
His hand took hold on Esau's heel ( Gen 25:26)
Hollow(כף) of Jacob's (יעקב ) thigh(ירך) was out of joint( יקע ), as he wrestled(אבק) (Gen 32:35)
Thou shalt bruise his heel (Gen 3:15)

A Hebrew name is not a Hebrew word, and hence שריאל is not שרי-אל, my master is god (אל), but rather שר-היא‫-‬אל, methinks.

Leah & Rachel are the daughters of Laban, namesake for Lebanon and these words are synonyms of Κοίλη "Hollow"
from κόλπον "Bosom" and Bethuel from βαθύς "Deep".

Psalm 84:6
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

The words pools in this verse, ברכה (Bĕrakah) from βράχεα (Brachea) "shallows"
and הבכא is ὁ Βάκχος namesake for Beqaa.

You are right that the Hebrew בְּרֵכָה BRECHA, 'pool', is related to the Yiddish broch, 'calamity', from the German brechen, 'break', further related to the English brook.

*M sound pushes the lips to pronounce unwillingly, the letter P/B

Hebrew is a not a closet language created in a deserted vacuum and the affinity between Latin
and Greek is much more then just the alphabet.

Yes! over = ob-er = up-er, with "up" corresponding to the Hebrew עב and עף. Compare "upon" and "open".

Not to forget the city name Barcelona that is thought to come from the "Punic" ברך BARAK, 'bless' (nothing to do though with בֶּרֶךְ BEREK, 'knee').
