Where is Moab?

Isaiah 15:1 - Kir of Moab is laid waste

The Septuagint translates KIR into τεῖχος 'Wall', other verses mentions this place in context with Syrians.

2 Kings 16:9 - Assyria went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried the people of it captive to Kir
Amos 1:5 - The people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir,
Amos 9:7 - Syrians from Kir

The Septuagint never transliterates or treats KIR as a locative case.

Isaiah 15:1 - Ar of Moab

AR is ἀπόλλυμι in the Septuagint, a verb and in other verses this name appears, the Septuagint renders Σηιρ
usually a transliteration of שעיר (Seir), the epithet of Esau.

The parable of Jacob & Esau is explained in Joshua.
Genesis 27:11 - Esau my brother is a hairy(שער) man, and I am a smooth(חלק) man:
Joshua 11:17 From the mount Halak (החלק), that goeth up to Seir (שעיר)
unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon

The most confusing verses in the Bible is Numbers 21

Number 21:14-15
Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab

Deuteronomy 3:8 - River of Arnon unto mount Hermon

Mount Hermon is not that far from Damascus (2 Kings 16:9), whom were taken into captivity
so where was that captivity?

Joshua 13:16
Their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river
and all the plain by Medeba;

This verse is being very specific, it is referring to a city in the middle of a river, however Biblical lexicon states 'Mebeba' is a town in Moab
but they are no river-cities in that area, but in Syria, there was a city in the middle of a river, Antioch

ANTIOCH is a strange-name, for it can refer to a town founded by Antioch, but the suffix is οχή
and also a variant of ὀχυρός, this word forms Ugarit, Tyre and Mizraim

> מצרים * Egypt
> מבצרים * Stronghold
> צור * Rock
> מצור * Fortress

2 Samuel 24:7 - מבצר־צר (Stronghold of Tyre) Μαψαρ Τύρου

This confuses translations of Daniel, which one is correct?

Daniel 11:24
- He shall devise plans against Egypt ( Septuagint)
- He shall devise plans against the Stronghold ( Masoretic)
- He shall devise plans against Tyre
- He shall devise plants against Antioch?

The name מצרים commonly translated 'Egypt' is just מ צר ים, It as the name 'Tyre' within the name, or ὀχυραὶ, referring to a stronghold or fenced cities and thus i question if any of the stories in the Bible took place in 'Egypt', no wonder Bible always in contradiction to Egyptology.

Amos 1:5 - The people of Syria shall go into captivity

This whereabouts of this captivity was a 'stronghold' Interpreted as צֹר/ὀχυρός or מצרים, the context of the Book of Exodus, Syrian people in captivity.

The proper name for Egypt is 'KEMET" (Kmt) , between Hebrew & Greek, the M and B interchange
and thus KMT - KBT, KPT which produces the name 'Coptic', see Αἴγυπτος, without vowels, Γπτ
that possibly transliterates into פוט (Phut).

Αἴγυπτος is poetic, for this is a compound of αἴγ̀(Goat) and ὕπτιος (Laid on it's back) and
thus αἴγ̀ is just אַקּוֹ' "Wild Goat", other words are עֵז, גְּדִי and שָׂעִיר, the epithet of Esau
and the same as Σάτυρος "goatish fellow"

The word 'Capricorn' can be derived from צפיר קרן

Archaeologists excavating the ancient city of Ebla in Syria =discovered, among others, the tomb of some king or great noble which included a throne decorated with bronze goat heads. That led to this tomb becoming known as "The Tomb of the Lord of the Goats
Goats an important symbol in Judaism, for the Goats takes away sins (Leviticus 4:23-32).

'Aegyptus' in Greek Mythology and the Bible is Lebanon.

Europe -
Cilix -
Agenor -
Memphis -

Numbers 34:5 -

The Septuagint renders this as 'χειμάρρουν Αἰγύπτου "Winter Torrents of Egypt', they are no winter torrents
in Egypt, so why is Egypt depicted wintry, see Exodus 9:19 "hail in all the land of Egypt".

John 18:1 - Winter torrent of Cedron (χειμάῤῥου τῶν Κεδρὼν)
2 Samuel 15:23 - Winter torrent of Kidron

Winter torrents are described in Job 6:14-5

My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;
Which are blackish(קדרים) by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid:
What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.

This verse explains the name קדרון "Blackish' (by the reason of Ice), thus confirming that Kidron
is a Winter torrent.

Numbers 21:13 - Arnon is the border of Moab
Numbers 21:14 - Winter torrent of Arnon

Where are the Winter torrents in the 'current' location of Moab that is mostly desert, perhaps
Biblical scholars put everything in the Bible in the middle of a desert, for geopolitical purposes
because Bible describes Mount Sinai as a Snowy Mountain with glaciers, unless the Bible took place in
an Ice Age.

χειμάρρους is a compound of χεῖμα & ῥύη

ῥύη/רוח 'flow, run, stream, gush' , χειμάς is חמת (Hamath)

-Where is Hamath-
Numbers 13:21- They went up, searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.
Judges 3:3 - In mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.
Joshua 13:5 - Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.
Ezekiel 47:17- the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side

-Where is Succoth-
Genesis 33:17 And Jacob journeyed to Succoth (Lebanon)
Exodus 13:20 they took their journey from Succoth

-Where is Meribah-Kadesh-
Deuteronomy 32:51 - the waters of Meribah-Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin
Ezekiel 47:19 - Waters of Meribah-Kadesh (near Damascus)

'Waters of Meribah' which means Rebellious waters, is a parable for a river flowing counter to other rivers, a river so-named in the Levent
is Orontes, also called Axius.
The modern name ‘Āṣī (or Asi) is derived from the ancient Axius. The word coincidentally means "rebel" in Arabic, which folk etymology ascribes to the fact that the river flows from the south to the north unlike the rest of the rivers in the region
Ezekiel 47:19 - Waters of strife(מריבות קדש) in Kadesh, the river to the great sea (Mediterranean)

There is a city, or dry-land in the middle of Orontes

Joshua 13:16
Their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;

Arnon = Orontes

"Plain by Medeba' - πᾶσαν τὴν Μισωρ : כל־המישר על־מידבא

המישר, Μισωρ "level place, uprightness"
- Psa 143:10 - Land of Uprightness
Upright, straight, smooth, level'
- Gen 27:11 - I (Jacob) am a smooth man:
- Measure, מישר, מְשׂוּרָה , μέτρον, μέτρα, Israel

Num 21:30 - Medeba(מידבא) , Septuagint reads Μωαβ (Moab)
