פרד & ברד
πάρδος, ῥόδον, βρόδον
παράδεισος, Ἑσπερίς, Ἑσπερίδες
ϝὁρίζω ( ϝρζ/פרד)

פרד - separate, dispersed, scattered

Ἑσπερίδες νῆσοι (Island of Hesperides) also called Κασσιτερίδες (Cassiterides)
was the name of the western Islands where Phoenician traded for 'Tin' that was smelted with copper to make bronze.

אשפרד (Hesperides)
פרדאש (Paradise)

נחש
- κνηκός, κνακός "Tawny' (color of bronze)
- Kancanam
- Aeneus, Aheneus, Aes (Latin words for Bronze)

Aeneus, the Trojan hero is the son of Anchishs and father of Ascanius
hence the reason for the western voyage of Aeneus, represents the Phoenicians
rather then the Roman.

צפרדע - Frog

Strong's Lexicon does not give a valid root or etymology and bear in mind, they
are many dialects of Greek, so here are the frog-words.

Ionic : βάθρακος
Pontic : βύρθακος , βότραχος , βράταχος
Cypriot : βρούχετος

It is βράταχος that more closely resembles צפרדע
βρτχ /פרדע

The correct root would be רקד / βρούχετος
and רקד is τροχάζω (ρχζ) with the initial τ dropping but retained
as the initial צ in צפרדע.

רקד, : dance, skip, leap, jump
י-רוצצו : δια-τρέχουσαι (Nahum 2:5)
τροχάζω > ραχαζω > רצαζω - רצץ
רקαζω > רקד

You ask: "Did Moses encounter the burning-phoenix?" No, he encountered a burning mountain.

'burning mountain'

This description is fairly common throughout the scripture, Burning, melting and moving mountains.

Nahum 1.5 - The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt
Psalm 68:8 - Sinai itself was moved
Amos 9:13 - Mountains shall drop sweet wine and Hills shall melt
Judges 5:5 - The mountains melted from before the LORD, even Sinai
Isaiah 40:16 - Lebanon is not sufficient to burn

I also have a theory why the 'Phoenix' is primarily associated with Lebanon
is because of seasonal covering of snow upon the mountains that melt away
during the spring rains and regenerates during the winter.

χῖον (Chion) 'Snow'
χιονικός (Chionikos) 'off snow'

'Ch' commonly shifts into 'Ph' , χιονικός(Choinikos) - φοίνικος(Phoinikos)

χῖον, χιόνι (Dative)
-χινι, סיני, קיני
-χιών, ציון
-χίαν, שיאן
-χιόνι ὅροις > χνι ρ > שניר, χνὅρ > שנער

כרב 'Cherub'
-κόραξ, κορώνη 'Raven, Crow'
-κόραξ > κοραγ > κοραβ > κρβ/כרב , Corvus, Corbeau, Karva, Crow

The initial K also drops out, e.g. κράς > ράς/ראש thus κορβ/ערב
that is the Hebrew word for 'Crow'. or Raven.

They are two Cherubs and two birds released from the Ark

Ezekiel 28
14 - Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God
16 - O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

הר אלהים also הר צלמון in Psalm 68:14 'white as snow in Salmon' that appears in Judges 9:48 as הר צלמון that the Septuagint reads 'ὄρος Ερμων' which is הר חרמון 'Mount Hermon'

This also the 'הר הר 'Mount Hor' which became Mt Ararat in the story of Noah
through layers of language. הר הר > Ωρὄρος > Ωρρς > אררט (Ararat), from here
Noah released the Crow, emphases on the dark color of the bird.

A River in the Levant turns RED each February due to the volume of soil washed off the mountains by heavy winter rains, this particular river is so-named 'Abraham'

The word previous too Abraham in Strong's Lexicon is אברה 'Pinion or Wing of a Bird'
and relates too ἀβαρής 'without weight, feather'

The other name for River Abraham is 'Adonis', named for תאניה , ἀνιᾷ or ὀδύναι, הדה
or ὥδωνις meaning 'Lament' but also Oestrous describing the river turning red.

Pausanias 4.35
Red water, in color like blood, is found in the land of the Hebrews near the city of Joppa. The water is close to the sea, and the account which the natives give of the spring is that Perseus, after destroying Cetus, to which the daughter of Cepheus was exposed, washed off the blood in the spring.

In Isaiah 40:16
וּלְבָנוֹן אֵין דֵּי בָּעֵר וְחַיָּתוֹ אֵין דֵּי עוֹלָה
וּלְבָנוֹן refers to the wood for fire.

לבנון can indeed refer to the Cedrus libani (Cedars of Lebanon), Frankincense or an Oven.

κλίβανος (Klibanos)
Covered earthen vessel, wider at bottom than at top, wherein bread was baked by putting hot embers round it

לבבות (Labiybah)
Cakes, Bread

The lexicon derives the word from 'לב' (Heart) however it's the same root as κλίβανος that derives
from κόλπος (Kolpos) (Bosom, Atrium of the Heart), this is why the Arabic word for לב is קלב/قلب (Galb)
from κλπ and לבב is the genitive form, κόλπου > λπυ/לבב. Also a cognate of כור (Furnace)
and 'cor' is Latin for heart.

There is nothing between לֵב, 'heart', and לְבִיבָה, 'cake', (also לביא, 'lion', and the post biblical לבלב, 'flourish') but their ample body.

'Heart' stems from a root meaning 'Hollow', this very word also cognate of κοῖλος 'Hollow'
or refers to the shape of the dish, the cakes and bread are baked in.

גל - Bowl
κοτύλη - Bowl
ספל - Bowl, Basin
λέβης, λέβητας - Kettle, Cauldron
לבב - To cook bread
κόλλιξ - roll or loaf of coarse bread
λέκος - Dish, Pan, Pot

Most of the 'bread' related words are cognates of each other between Latin, Hebrew and Greek.

Joe 2:24 - floors shall be full of wheat (בר)

בר- πυρός 'wheat, flour'
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/mor ... ek#lexicon

The root would be ברר 'refine, purify' and this is cognate of ברא and בער meaning 'Fire' (πῦρ) also as a means of refining or purifying metal.

The GK word for bread, ἄρτος, a more archaic reading would be ἄϝρτος which
is אפרת, the alternative name of בית לחם 'House of Bread' and
also βρωτός 'Eat' and βρῶσις 'Meat' and these words root the English word 'Bread'
and also explains why לחם means 'Bread' & 'Meat' referring too food cooked in
fire (בער).

Latin word for 'Cake' is Libum & Laganum that are cognates of לחם also λάγανα 'Thin broad cake' that roots 'Lasagna' that are always
cooked in the Oven.
