מִמֶּנּוּ Ex. 16:16 and Nu. 13:31

Post by Isaac Fried »

We read in Ex. 16:16
לִקְטוּ מִמֶּנּוּ אִישׁ לְפִי אָכְלוֹ
where the end הוּא U, 'he', of מִמֶּנּוּ stands for the manna. We also notice that the U הוּא of לִקְטוּ is for the many, but that the O הוּא of אָכְלוֹ is for but the one.
In Nu. 13:31 we read
כִּי חָזָק הוּא מִמֶּנּוּ
were NU of מִמֶּנּוּ is אנוּ ANU, 'we, us'.
