Feedback Requested on My Bible Translation

Post by talmid56 »

Cross-posted from B-Greek and Textkit.
I'm in the process of revising my translation from the Greek of the Gospel of John. I would welcome feedback, both on the accuracy of the translation and also on other factors. Things such as how readable is it, do the sentences flow naturally. Also, how useful are the notes.

I've posted a draft of chapter 1 with notes on my Academia.edu account. If you'd like to comment and help with this, here is the link:

Even if you can't speak to the accuracy re the Greek, your input can still be valuable. If you participate, I encourage you to read my translator's preface, also available on Academia.edu.

While this part of the project is not from the OT, some of our members do work with Greek. Also, several Hebrew and Aramaic terms are discussed in the notes as part of the background. Even if you don't work with Greek but would like to comment, feel free.
