Can the Va with Imperfect, ever be present or future tense?

Can the Va with Imperfect,(So the Wayyiktol form) ever be present or future tense? .

I know that Va with Imperfect(So the Wayyiktol form), is normally past tense.

I'm sure there are examples that can be located. I'm still reading Cook's book on tense in biblical Hebrew. I'll comment on that when I get to it.
