Etymology of Hebrew "de"

I was hoping that they'd give us a breakdown of דהיינו rather than just listing היינו ד־ without any definition. It's clear that it doesn't mean הָיִ֫ינוּ ד־ "we were which...". I'm wondering what the Aramaic means.

I guess this line does refer to הַיְנוּ ד

I uploaded this entry since the first post, even though it focused on two cases, It was actually talked about the meaning of the ד in general - so I guessed that will help.

Anyway, I think that דהיינו just means "which is"
היינו means "this/that is"
and ד means "Which"

So by that, it is like "which this is" and used in the sentence in the way that says: "In other words".

So, could היינו in Aramaic be something similar to הִנְנוּ\הִנֵּ֫נוּ or הִנּוֹ (that is, הִנֵּה הוּא)? I wish I could easily search for the phrase in Aramaic. I mean, I know what it means, but I don't know what it's composed of. LOL

Correction. Not the causative but the doubled stem.

Ah, we have this on the Academy's page. It seems that the roots are unclear, but at least its meaning is clear.
