parsing apps

Post by Matthew Longhorn »

Does anyone know of any parsing apps that will use random lexemes with the different verb forms?

I'd also be interested in such an app!

I am aiming to get a friend to code one for me. I know what should work based on previous experience of playing with paper in Greek.

Jason, I noted the Quintilian quote in your signature block. Thankfully, the next sentence is not applicable:

Nam et cedere praecipiendi partibus indignantur et velut iure quodam potestatis, quo fere hoc hominum genus intumescit, imperiosi atque interim saevientes stultitiam suam perdocent.

P.S. My apologies for this 100% off topic post!

if you open bibleworks and type e.g.

that will show all qaal perfect (qaal=paal)

Thanks Ralph, the parsing app is meant to be more of a drill / identification tool, not just showing instances of a given verb form that you already know whether it is qal etc. I haven’t had time / money to do one myself through my colleague - still hoping to
