Is this the most basic form of the word, and can it also mean "secret"?

And what dictionary are you talking about (and is it available here online)?

Is this the most basic form of the word, and can it also mean "secret"?

The subject of an intimate consultation is often one which the participants don’t want blabbed abroad. So in that case, it could be understood as something private, a “secret” in English.
