suggestion on memorising hebrew verbs

my apologise this is a simple question..
It seems to me that I cant get over the hebrew verbs system until some point in the far future..
hebrew has no principle parts (I hope I am right) and that is a big relieve..
but the difficulty I believe lay somewhere else..

in what way we can internalise the three consonants?
because it seems that the conjugation involve a drastic change of vowel
among the first books I get when I began to learn the language, they gave the 3rd masc sg qal, and I got an impression that people memorise the verbs with the a-a vowel..
until recently I get lambdin and try to start over, but lambdin introduce the verbs as the active participle with o-e vowel..
but moving to the next chapters lambdin goes back to the standard a-a vowel..
my question is it okay to memorize the hebrew verbs using particple instead of the lexical form? because when learn latin I tend to memorize the infinitive rather than the lexical forms, and that works on me..
thx you in advance

In the short run, to get your feet wet in reading Hebrew, learn the verbs in the Qatal third person singular form—that’s how the verbs are listed in dictionaries. Secondly, the basic conjugations are based on that form.

In the long run, the best way to learn the language is just to read Tanakh from beginning to end, then start over again. After the second time, go back and read it a third time, and so forth. Memorize passages. This is the way you learned your native tongue, and if you move to a country where the locals speak a different language, that’s basically how you’d learn that second language too. Hebrew is just another language, treat it the same way as any other language. And the way one learns foreign languages is by using them, in sentences, paragraphs and complete stories. So just read.

That’s how I learned Biblical Hebrew.

Whilst never a replacement at all for Karl's suggestion, I can heartedly recommend the following flashcard programme, Anki, mentioned in this thread.

Syncs between the PC and my Android phone very well. I've tested some of the 'Biblical Hebrew' flashcard decks, and the Oak Hill College Hebrew one (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/2617319445) is very good.
