There is also evidence in the New Testament, in the Book of Hebrews.

Hebrews 9:4 - the golden pot that had manna
Exodus 16:31 - the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.
Psalm 104:16 - The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon which he hath planted
Songs 4:11 - Thy lips, my spouse, drop as honeycomb, honey and milk are under thy tongue; and smell of thy garments is like smell of Lebanon.

They are no cedar trees in Egypt.

Cedrus libani produces cones at around the age of 40; it flowers in autumn, the male cones appear in early September and the female ones in late September.

Exodus 16:35- the children of Israel did eat manna 40 years

מן/μάννα appears in the works of Hippocrates (460 BCE – 370 BCE) referring to the resin of the Cedrus libani (μάννα λιβάνου)

Waters of Meribah
Ezekiel 47:19 - Waters of Meribah-Kadesh (Lebanon) (River Orontes)

Hamath (χειμάς "wintry")
Judges 3:3 - In mount Lebanon, from mount Baal Hermon unto the entering in of Hamath.(Lebanon)
Numbers 13:21- They went up, searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.

Winter torrents
John 18:1 - Winter torrent of Cedron (χειμάῤῥου τῶν Κεδρὼν)
2 Samuel 15:23 - Winter torrent of Kidron
Numbers 21:14 - Winter torrent of Arnon
Numbers 34:5 - Winter torrent of Egypt *

Waters of Meribah (Orontes) means rebellious water, this is folk etymology ascribes to the fact that the river flows from the south to the north unlike the rest of the rivers in the region, The modern name ‘Āṣī (or Asi) is derived from the ancient Axius that coincidentally means "rebel" in Arabic.

The travel was relentlessly in the direction the burning mountain.
Ex. 13:21-22
NIV: "By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people."

The Hebrew scriptures many-times mention burning and melting mountains, but if they are describing snow-covered mountains, that continuously melts and snows over, then it explains the poetry .

Mount Hermon has seasonal winter and spring snow falls, which cover all three of its peaks for most of the year. Melt water from the snow-covered mountain's western and southern bases seeps into the rock channels and pores, feeding springs at the base of the mountain, which form streams and rivers.

What is also poetically described in the Hebrew Scripture is mountain dew.

As the dew of Hermon descend upon the mountains of Zion

This is Jacob's ladder. (Gen 28:12).

The scriptures are written in Hebrew, a language spoken in the Ancient Levant and thus the stories themselves poetically describe the natural phenomenons of the region.

Lee Mcgee says
Waters of Meribah
Ezekiel 47:19 - Waters of Meribah-Kadesh (Lebanon) (River Orontes) Deuteronomy 32:51 - the waters of Meribah-Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin (Exodus 17:7)
מֵי מְרִיבָה of Nu. 20:13 is possibly מים-רבים, 'ample water', or it was some sort of a contested water.

The Septuagint renders מי מריבה into ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας.
- ἀντιλογίας "contradiction, quarrel"

Psalm 31:20; מריב לשנות > ἀπὸ ἀντιλογίας γλωσσῶν "from the strife of tongues"
Psalm 18:43; מריבי > ἐξ ἀντιλογιῶν
Deuteronomy 25:1; ריב > ἀντιλογία

In Psalm 31:2, the word describes the tongue, thus מריבה could be πικρίδιος (Pikridios) (adj) "somewhat bitter", from πικρός "bitter" (of taste), as a metaphor describing people.

Ah, מריבה = מר-היא-בה, 'it has bitterness in it'. That's an interesting idea.
