Kenneth Greifer
Hello, my name is Kenneth Greifer. I like trying to solve textual mysteries of the Hebrew Bible, and then putting my ideas into self-published books. I think I have solved a few, but I haven't been able to convince anyone else yet.

Hi Kenneth!
I've written a post about writing Hebrew on this form: "How do I write Hebrew in my posts?"
If you are writing biblical text, I have found it fast and more accurate to copy/paste Hebrew text directly from the Tanach website.
For other text formatting options, our forum software uses tags in square brackets called BBCode. Fun stuff.
Hope this is helpful.

This time I am copying from that Tanakh site Genesis 1:1.
1בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית בָּרָ֣א אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃

Dear Kenneth,
In my browser (Chrome), the text comes out okay, but all the accents are little empty square boxes. But If I copy the text you've cited and surround it with the right and heb tags:
becomes:

Of course, you need the SBL Hebrew font installed on your machine for this to work right. You can get the font here.
