The Hebrew word מתלקחת is not "from" the Greek φλογίζω (of which phlogiston), which appears to be related to the English flag and flock, and to the German Flug, 'flight'.

שֶלֶג seems to me to be a variant of שֶלֶךְ $ELEK, that which is being thrown מוּשלך down from the sky.

Psalm 68:14
When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow (תשלג) in Salmon.

The word SALMON ( צלמון ) appear in Judges 9:48 rendered in Greek as Ερμων (Hermon)
and this is cognate with Ὄλυμπος ( Olympus), ὅρος ὄλυμον/הר־צלמון.

Scholars can't seem to find the name Olympus in Linear B but the name is cognate of Hermes written e-ma-ha

e-ma-ha > e-ma-pas > el-ma-pas

Deuteronomy 4:48 - Mount Sion, that is Er-Hermon

We have already remarked on the affinity of שִׂיאֹן and צִיוֹן, the two lofty נִשָּׂאִים places. See Isaiah 2:12-14
Also mount סִינָי resembling a שן or a סנסן. Recall also the צִיּוּן, 'marker', of Ezekiel 39:15.

חֶרְמוֹן is either from the root חרם, 'bent', as in Lev. 21:18, or it is the amalgamation of הר-רם-הנוֹ
