Isaiah 45:1

Post by Saboi »

This is a very complex and controversial verse.

כוה : οὕτως
אמר : λέγει
יהוה: διῆ ὑή
ל משיח ו: τῷ χριστῷ αὐτῶ
ל כורש : τῷ Κύρῳ
אשר: ὅστε
ה חזקת י :ἧ ἴσχυσα μοι 'to be strong'
ב ימינ ו : ἐν δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ
ל רד : τῷ κρατῆσαι 'conquer, prevail, get the upper hand'
לפניו :ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ
גואים : Σκύθης, Σκυθῶν (γαιῶν) 'Scythians
ו מתנ י : καὶ ὀσφῦν μοι 'loins'
מלכים : ἀναξῶν 'Kings'
אפתח : αἴ πτύσσω, ἀμφί-πτύσσω 'unfold, unfold on both sides
ל פתח : τῷ πτύξαι 'fold, double up
לפניו : ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ
דלתים : δικλίς, δικλίδος 'double-folding doors
ו שערים :καὶ θυράων 'doors'
לוא : οὖ
יסגר ו : ἐγκλείω , εγκλιθηση 'shut in, clos

Perhaps this is describing a structure with double-doors else its being abstract.

שַׁעַר is apparently just the opening in the wall. דֶּלֶת is apparently a תֶּלֶת the hanging תָּלוּי flap over the tent opening. Hence the triangle shaped Greek letter Δ delta.

δικλίς is a compound of δύο and κλείς that are homologs of שני and על

שני על > שעל > שער > θυρ
שני על > שיעל > δικλ

The Last word of the verse, סגר is a compound formed from על
and the common readings are ἀποκλείω, συνέκλεισαν and ἐγκλείω.

ἐγκλείω > γκλ > סגר

ἐγ- is an alternative form of εν-
ἐγκλ > ἐνκλ > נעל
γ-κύλος (Ankle)

χριστῷ roots from חרש 'to work with the hands' and thus משיח roots from μάσσω (Att. μάττω) 'knead, work with the hands'
that also roots Massage.

μάσσω 'Knead, work with hands''
- משח 'wipe'
- משארת 'kneading trough'
- μάζας, μᾶζα 'barley cakes

Thus the word is an extension of יד, the homolog of γυῖον, ὁδός, ποδός and Ἀγυιεύς.

רחבת־ידים (Genesis 34:21)
- εὐρυάγυια 'with wide streets'
- εὐρυόδεια 'with broad ways

Dexterous derives from צדק חרש : δίκῃ χειράς (Right Hand) shorted too δεξιᾶς/צדק יד and Aristeros from ירע חרש (Wrong Hand), the Ancient Latin, Hebrew and Greek cultures were very superstitious in regards to the left hand.

-צדק/δίκ- (confirmed homolog)
Jeremiah 12:1 - צדיק /δίκαιος
Proverb 12:10 - צדיק /δίκαιος
Ecc 7:16 - צדיק / δίκαιος
Proverbs 11:8 - צדיק / δίκαιος
Psalms 37:16 - צדיק / δικαίῳ
Psalms 7:11 - צדיק / δίκαιος
Exodus 23:8 - צדיקים / δίκαια
Gen 18:24 - צדיק / δίκαιος
Genesis 6:9 - צדיק / δίκαιος
Proverbs 21:3 - צדקה / δίκαια
Gen 15:6 - צדקה / δικαιοσύνην
Lev 19:15 - צדק / δικαιοσύνῃ
Job 13:18 - צדק / δίκαιος
Job 9:15 - צדקתי / εἰσακούσεταί
Gen 38:26 - צדקה / δεδικαίωται

This is very bizarre, here is my new Ancient Greek cognitive reading of the verse.

Isaiah 45:1
οὕτως λέγει διά τῷ χριστῷ αὐτῶ τῷ Κύρῳ ὅστε ἴσχυσα μοι ἐν δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ τῷ κρατῆσαι
ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ Σκυθῶν καὶ νῶτον ἀναξῶν ἀμφίπτύσσω τῷ πτύξαι ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ δικλίδος
καὶ θυράων οὖ εγκλιθηση

Here is what happened when Google translates it.

-Google translate'
so he says for the sake of the Lord that you have the right handedness of this state
Against this Scythian, and against the rest of the world, I am crucified against this dictum
and the doorways

The root חרש is a member of good standing of the family of roots
גרד, גרז, גרט, גרס, גרש
הרס
חרד, חרז, חרט, חרץ, חרש
כרז, כרס, כרץ, כרש, כרת
קרס, קרץ, קרש

all having the common meaning of ‘cut, chop, grind, break, fragment, crumble, shred, crash’.
Spoken Hebrew uses גריסים GRIYSIYM for ‘grits’.

Yes, חרש "Handy", anything done with the hands, cutting, chopping, grinding, breaking, crumbling, painting, anointing, artificing, musing and playing Instruments.

The problem with PIE, it doesn't give precise etymology for ART, but the word is חרש, in Aramaic-Hebrew, ש/ת interchange, hence חרת and ח/א interchange, hence ארת (Art) and forms the prefix of 'Artificer' , which is חרש suffixed with עשה and the Latin ending, -er.

According to PIE, "Hand - which is of uncertain origin"

יד

/n/ before /d/ , the nasal assimilates to the position of articulation of the following consonants.
yad > yand > hand

The articulation eliminates the /d/
yad > yand > yan > γυῖον (ἄγω, ἔχω, manus) (γ/χ/ד)

Since Hebrew scripture is traditionally unchanged, always the same then the language doesn't change, but the Phoenicians who had all these European colonies, they had no fixed scripture so the language they spoke assimilated into Europe and all its languages.

“According to PIE, "Hand - which is of uncertain origin””
I am not sure what PIE is, but I am certain that the “origin” of any Hebrew Word is in the depth of the soul of the ancient Hebrews.
יד is a variant of
דד, זד, יד, סד, צד, שד, יתד
all meaning ‘extension’.

XARA$ חרש is ‘a scratcher’, by whatever tool is appropriate for the work, from an ax to a plough.
