Hey, Chris. Is there a reason that you deleted this thread? I was mulling over things, and I was considering how I might respond, but now it’s gone.

Hallo Jason, I felt the answer was actually in the text itself. To keep this short and sweet, I suddenly had an inspiring thought. 'Inherit the Gentiles' and 'Inhabit the desolate cities' are two completely different physical events. Some translators believe that because 'Inhabiting the desolate cities' is clearly a physical act, the 'Inherit the Gentiles' must be translated as 'Dispossess' the Gentiles to fit the logical conclusion. But i thought about this and realised that 'Inherit the Gentiles' must refer to those who are grafted into the Stock of Israel and partake of their blessings, and ALSO Israel will indeed build the old places; (as she has clearly been busy with since 1917 - personal observation here).

So I deleted it as I considered it to be too theological an observation as well, which would not sit well with the forum rules. :?:
