Have you remarked that the Qere form fits, even in its vowels, the pattern of the Hiph'il Imperative, second person masculine singular, of most verbs?.
As in Is 6:10 ---------- הכבד
Ps 51:11 ................. הסתר
or Ps 109:6............... הפקד
