Done. Let me know of any further problems.

I would indeed!
Excellent! :)

What is this grammar?
It's kinda a classic old-time teaching grammar for biblical Hebrew. Since you didn't learn Hebrew as an English speaker, you wouldn't really have had the need to use it or run into it. :)

Okay. Now you made me curious.
I can ask you to explain, but maybe I'll wait until you start this "old-time teaching" and I'll see it by myself.

I sent you more details by PM. Did you see the new thread that I've opened and the first part of the exercise that I did?

Hi Jason,
Yes, thanks. I saw that PM, and I saw your other thread.

But should we all translate that?
Because I saw that you already did.

@Kirk

While you're at it, could you please create a tag for Hebrew transliterations? The tag [‎font] tag doesn't work, so we can't do something like [‎font="SBL BibLit"] or anything similar to allow for transliterations to look good.

I'd suggest a simple tag like [‎tr] that would correspond to

Code: Select all

<span style="font-family: 'Gentium Plus', serif;">text</span>
Something like that, since the native font of the forum doesn't support transliteration glyphs (it substitutes with some default font).

Just thought that maybe while you're at it, you might throw together a simple tag like this one.

If you're interested!

Jason

The point of the [‎hide] tag is to allow us each to post our own translation before looking at or revealing the work of others. So, yes, I've done the first piece of it, but that doesn't mean that the next person cannot do theirs. Just refrain from looking at mine until you've done your own.

I'm not sure if people would want to do the Hebrew-to-English, since many of us have worked through the Hebrew-to-English sections of Weingreen several times. It's something that many people do in first-year Hebrew class.
