Discourse-Syntactic Asymmetry in the Genesis 1:20–25 Narrative: An Analysis of Verbal Architecture

I am currently performing a quantitative discourse-syntactic audit of the P narrative in Genesis 1, specifically analyzing the verbal distribution within the parallel structures of the aquatic/avian creation (vv. 20–23) and the terrestrial creation (vv. 24–25).

My preliminary data indicates a distinct lack of the performative wybrk (and the associated direct object suffix) in the terrestrial creation sequence, despite structural similarities in the preceding framing clauses. While both sequences utilize the wayyiqtol verbal paradigm to advance the discourse, the nominal apposition and the distribution of the performative blessing formula demonstrate a marked asymmetry.

I am testing the hypothesis that this omission is not an isolated stylistic choice, but rather a functional component of the overarching discourse-syntactic architecture of the Priestly narrative. Specifically, I am looking for peer feedback on:

1. How this asymmetry in the lexical distribution of the berakah formula interacts with the clause-level hierarchy in the P source.

2. Are there comparable studies on discourse-syntactic "omissions" within the Priestly pericope that apply formal logical modeling or computational frequency analysis to determine the pragmatic significance of these gaps?

I would appreciate any recommendations regarding literature that treats the P creation narrative through the lens of discourse-syntax and clause-level valence mapping rather than traditional thematic interpretation.
